Order Processing: We take 2-3 business days on average to process, formulate, manufacture, and ship out your order (3-5 during peak times). This is because your paint is CUSTOM-MIXED to order. Orders placed after 8:30 am EST will be processed the following business day.


Order Placement: To verify that you are ordering the correct color for your vehicle you should place your order using the factory color code. Orders not placed in this manner, guessing the color, or using only the color name may cause you to receive the incorrect color. We cannot be responsible for colors ordered without the correct code unless you have been advised or assisted by our customer service representatives. No returns or refunds will be given unless orders are placed using the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) color code.

Here is information on how to verify your vehicle’s color code. Find your color code in our touch up paint database and start placing your order.

Canceling an Order: All orders are custom made and filled on a per order basis. Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled if the paint has already been made. If the order has not been made, it is possible to cancel. Contact Us

Safety Precautions: Customers accept responsibility for using products in a safe and responsible manner. Exercise caution when using our products. Follow product instructions carefully. Keep paint and other paint products away from children. Dispose of paint products carefully respecting your local regulations. Use Personal protective equipment during application.

Testing your color: It is important to test your color prior to actual application. Failure to verify a satisfactory match before use of the product may result in extensive cleanup work and re-repair. Be sure to test your paint on an inconspicuous area like under a wheel well or door jamb where it cannot easily be seen. A business card, or any coated surface may also substitute. Apply Basecoat, Clearcoat and 3CT following product instructions closely. Compare your test area or card to your vehicle when done to verify color and gloss for an acceptable match.

Color Match Guarantee: We guarantee our paint to match any original factory color per OEM specifications. The guarantee only applies to original factory paint. ALWAYS test the paint before applying it to your vehicle to ensure a blendable color match. If you are unsatisfied with our blendable color match, contact our Customer service department. Discuss the issue with us, then we will instruct you on how to begin the process of a remix request. If your vehicle is faded or oxidized, we will try to adjust the color to make it as close as possible.


Why your paint may not match: There are several reasons your paint may not correctly match.

  • You may have ordered the wrong color code. 

  • The vehicle may have been repainted with non-OEM paint at some point. 

  • The finish could be faded due to sunlight exposure and other natural elements. 

  • Your vehicle may be an uncommon variant of the standard factory color. 

  • You received an incorrectly mixed order.

Refunds: No returns or refunds will be given unless orders are placed using the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) color code (see “order Placement” section). You must notify us within 30 days of the original order placement of any issues with your product i.e. missing brush, wrong color sent etc. Please work with us. We are almost always able to resolve the problem with additional information about your order. You may need to send us a sample brush swipe or spray of the paint on the back of a white business card back so we can compare the paint we sent with the original factory chip.
Some colors shown may be discontinued. We will issue a refund for any colors ordered and paid for that we cannot provide.
Do not send your order back to The Auto Paint Depot or Amazon.com. Any returned supply merchandise excluding liquid paint that you wish to send to The Auto Paint Depot MUST be approved by a staff member of The Auto Paint Depot customer service department.

Return Instructions: We value our customers and their satisfaction with all our products. All of our paint is produced on a made to order basis, and therefore no refunds will be given for those products.

Other products may be returned less shipping and handling if they are unused and undamaged. Please approve any return of merchandise with our Customer Service department before sending anything back to us. We cannot accept returns for human error or guarantee your results based on your skill level. We recommend you acquire the services of a professional to apply your touch up paint to gain professional level results. Application errors such as failure to inspect the color match, not reading instructions, unintentional use or misuse of products, over ordering, under ordering, ordering the wrong color, a change of mind, or because young longer own the vehicle before you received your products are also not eligible refund reasons. There is a 30 day limitation from the date of order to remix paint or return company made errors or non made-to-order products.


USPS / Fedex Shipping: We currently offer USPS ground shipping to 48 states and Canada and or Fedex through our Amazon.com store.
Next Day Air Saver, 2nd Day Air, and 3rd Day is available for select products in the USA. 2oz touch up bottles, aerosol spray paint, pint or quart containers of paint, or other ORM-D products are restricted to ground delivery. Ground Shipments to Canada will have any applicable Canadian duties and/or taxes. Shipments valued under $20 (Canadian) are exempt from brokerage and taxes.

United States Post Office: We offer first class and priority USPS shipping to all USA states and territories. We cannot ship ORM-D packages (spray paint, 2 oz touch up bottles, pint, and quart containers) to military APO addresses. Not all products qualify for USPS shipping options. 1/2 oz. touch up bottles are available for APO Military addresses.

Product Liability: Using our products means you acknowledge understanding all instructions, precautions and warnings and have tested them before application. We are not liable if you damage your vehicle with said products sold by The Auto Paint Depot inc. or it's subsidiaries. Please be careful and use great care when touching up your vehicle.

GENERAL PRODUCT CAUTIONS:

DANGER! Keep all Auto Paint Depot products out of reach of children. Harmful or fatal if swallowed. Call physician immediately if swallowed. Do not inhale vapors. Always work in a well ventilated area.

FLAMMABLE! many paints contain solvents.
